Lamar

Lamar

Lamar

Approximate age:

1 year
Date arrived at Sanctuary:

Feb 2025
Where from:

Abandoned near the Sanctuary

Story:

Dumped outside the Sanctuary in two separate batches were the seven 'L'' puppies. Lamar and his brother Lester were found whimpering deep in the middle of a bamboo clump which was so thick it took two days to entice them out.

Lamar's brother Lester has been adopted but Lamar, who is a little shyer has stayed with us, maturing into a sweet young dog with a handsome face. He hangs out with many of the young dogs who grew up with him in the puppy run and is boisterous and growing in confidence every day.

Date arrived at Sanctuary:

Feb 2022
Where from:

Abandoned near the Sanctuary

Story:

Lacey and her sister Lexi were found by our Night Guard on his way to work at the sanctuary, They had been dumped by the roadside and unfortunately tested positive for parvovirus when they arrived. Fortunately, they miraculously both recovered from the virus and have been with us at the Sanctuary ever since. They are a close-knit pair, most often found within close distance of each other. They love to go on walks and are very lively and friendly. Lexi is already sponsored but Lacey lost her sponsor a few months ago.

Juno

Approximate age:

5 years
Date arrived at Sanctuary:

Feb 2021
Where from:

Dumped outside Sanctuary
Story:

Juno and 3 sisters were dumped outside the sanctuary when they were just about a month old. All of the puppies were adopted quickly but unfortunately through no fault of her own, Juno's adoption did not work out and she was returned to the sanctuary. Juno is the sweetest girl who absolutely loves her hoomans especially if you take her out for a walk. She has a faithful companion in one of our senior dogs called Andrew - it's so lovely to see these two dogs together and follow their story.

Gwen

Gwen

Approximate age:

2 years
Date arrived at Sanctuary:

May 2024
Where from:

Dumped as puppies
Story:

Gwen and her two siblings Gia and Gill were dumped outside the sanctuary just when we had an outbreak of distemper. Of course, we couldn't just leave them in the road on the doorstep so we brought them in and isolated them until the outbreak was cleared. These three are such a sweet tight-knit group, they have a resemblance to beagles and are very gentle and loving young dogs.

We really hope to find them a home one day as they would be perfect family dogs. In the meantime, they have settled into sanctuary life but they have a tendency to get bullied sometimes so they like to find quiet place of their own to hang out. It's so sweet to see the three of them together.
