Our current shelter is very small, just 2000 sqm built on rented land. In 2024, we successfully fundraised to buy our own land - 28,000 square metres! we are now in the process of building the new shelter as we are desperately short of space. We literally have no space at the moment to bring in any new rescues. As you can see the clinic is over-run! With 230 plus dogs and cats currently at the shelter, veterinary care takes up a lot of our time. Every day, Rudylyn our head vet assistant, checks every single dog and cat and looks for any signs of sickness or injuries. We then decide what the next step for treatment will be. When we have a vet at the shelter, it's much easier to deal with medical issues, but when we don't, we need to make more visits to outside clinics. These three dogs were flagged up in the daily check. Fury and George have lumps around the area of their kidneys so we will take them for xrays first. Snoopy has been putting on weight despite not eating that much so we took him for xrays to check his heart ( he is coughing) and also for full blood tests.
