Bambi Was Trapped in Barbed Wire. We Thought She’d Be Fine. She Wasn’t.
When our team spotted Hank on a beach in Dauin, it was immediately clear something was badly wrong - his ear appeared to be missing entirely, the kind of injury that suggested he’d been in a serious fight. The moment he sensed us, he ran. What followed was a chase that lasted the better part of an hour - through the beach, into the streets, deep into thick vegetation - as our team tried to catch him without frightening him any further. A dog already carrying an injury like this can’t be cornered or rushed. Catching him safely meant patience, not speed. This is the story of that pursuit, what we found when we finally reached him, and what his recovery has looked like since. 🐾 Every dog here has a story.
