Miracle adopted!

Miracle Adopted!

Miracle

Miracle

We rescued Miracle in September 2023.  She was found on the street with most of her skin ripped or burnt off and maggots had already infested the wound. She was only about 3 weeks old and it was a miracle that she survived.
She also had a deformed foot - a birth defect. She went into foster care to get the best chance of survival.
Sadly, the fosters couldn't keep her so we brought her back to the Sanctuary a couple of months ago.
We were so grateful when Olga, Abby and Noel offered to adopt her last week. She took a few days to adjust but is now very well settled with her new family! Well done Miracle you little fighter!

Bobbi adopted!

Bobbi Adopted!

Bobbi adopted

We have some great news!
Old Bobbi has been adopted by Eren. Bobbi was rescued at the beginning of this year. He was another victim of a hit and run, then left on the side of the road to die.
He sustained a broken leg, which had to be amputated.
He's been at Eren's a few days now and is settling in well.
This is the ultimate aim for our rescues, to get their own good loving family often for the first time.
As Bobbi is a senior dog, DAS will cover his vet fees for life.
We do this to encourage people to adopt our seniors.
Thank you Eren and have a great life Bobbi!

Marcel – Adopt a Stray

Marcel

On 7 May 2024, under our "Adopt a Stray" programme, we rescued a dog with a very badly infected head wound.  He is called Marcel.  It will take some time to treat the wound, as maggots had already started to multiply.  We had to hope we got them all out and the medication would begin to have an affect.

We took out as much dead and infected tissue as we could, and closed up his wound, dressing his head in an attractive yellow gauze bandage!  We use high grade manuka honey for its amazing healing properties.  Sadly this is not cheap, but with the help of generous donors, were able to get him back to full fitness.  He returned to his adopter Dani in July 2024.

On 28 March 2024, Sera and Saffi, two abandoned sisters, were collected by Albert to begin their new life with him and his family.  They are both such soft little sweethearts, we are so happy they get to continue to grow up together!  Please message us if you can provide a loving home for any of Our Puppies.

Brutus – Adopt a Stray

Brutus

Brutus

Brutus

On 23 February 2024, under our "Adopt a Stray" programme, we responded to an emergency call for dog with a very badly-infected head wound.  We called him Brutus.

The wound was infested with maggots and was in desperate need of cleaning out.  We put him on antibiotics to combat the infection.  Within a few weeks, his wounds were sufficiently healed, and we returned him to his new home.
