On August 5 2021, we rescued four very young puppies from a mother who a had not been able to feed them as she had a facial injury and couldn't eat. She had no milk to offer her young puppies and was difficult to catch.

With the offer of a foster if the puppies were rescued, we took them in. Two of the puppies were very weak, and sadly little Fiona passed away the next day. Frodo battled on, but when pups are taken from their mother too soon, they don't get immunity from the milk so they are really vulnerable to all sorts of illness. Frodo's mother had no milk, so we had take them in. We put them on IV as soon as they started to get weak, but we couldn't save Frodo who passed away on 8 September 2021, along with his brother, Flynn.
