Two more puppies were adopted today, Skylar and Kaylee found their forever home! Thank you Daphne and family for choosing to adopt from DAS, and helping us to continue rescuing.

Today is very sad day at the Sanctuary. Our beloved Creamy, one of our very first rescues, passed away unexpectedly.
The day before his passing, Creamy was still very much enjoying life. He went for a walk, played with his friends, and ate his dinner.
But on Wednesday morning our staff noticed that he was panting more than usual.

The vet happened to be there, so he gave him a checkup. Within 10 minutes Creamy lost the ability to stand and his breathing got rapid. We put him on oxygen, but sadly he died not long after.
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact cause of his death. Creamy was an old dog, so the vet thinks it was possibly his heart that gave out or pancreatitis.
The moment Creamy passed away, all the dogs started howling as you can hear in the last part of the video. They will miss him just as much as we will.
Creamy had such a hard life but we take comfort in knowing that he was happy in his final years at the Sanctuary. He always had a full belly - in fact, he was even a (reluctant) contestant in our Fat Camp in 2021.
Dear Creamy, you were loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You will live on forever in our hearts and memories. You can read about Creamy and see many more pictures of him on his profile page here.

Another great day at Robinsons! Thank you Robinsons Dumaguete for your amazing support.
We had 5 adoptions! 4 puppies, Dustin, Caitlyn, Dutchess and Adele.
It's really lucky for Caitlyn especially, as she is getting to the age where adoption chances diminish rapidly. We also found a new home for kitten Moon. 10,710 pesos in cash donations and lots of in-kind donations were also collected. Thank you to everyone who turned out in support!
And of course thank you to our volunteers and staff, Estella, Yorika, Richard, Belle and Alvin.

Marble
Marble was initially captured as part of our trap-neuter-vaccinate-release program, in which we put dogs back on the street after we treat them. We only put dogs back if they are in relatively good health and have a clear food source. But Marble is such an old dog, that we just couldn’t put her back.
Senior dogs rarely get adopted, so we were prepared to let Marble live out her twilight years at the shelter. Until Olga came along!
Olga very generously welcomed Marble into her family, and she was immediately accepted by the other dogs. The adoption took place a few weeks ago, and Marble has settled in perfectly since then.
Thank you so much Olga for giving Marble a loving home in her final years.
