Oli adopted!

Oli Adopted!

Oli adopted

Little Oli got adopted today!  We have so many puppies now at the Sanctuary so it's great when one gets adopted!  This helps us to create space to rescue more and of course gives a dog the chance to live its best life.
Thank you so much Joan for choosing a DAS dog and being part of the solution to the suffering here!

If you can make room for just one more soul in your home, please message us.

We still have a lot of puppies looking for their forever homes, please message our Inbox if you'd like to take one home today - Our Puppies

Cersei adopted again!

Cersei Adopted Again!

Cersei

Cersei

We have some amazing news! Cersei is finally home.  We rescued Cersei back in March 2024. She had been dumped on the side of the road by her owners, who left the area, according to locals who knew the family. No one would or could give us names to follow up.  She had taken refuge in a workers' hut on a construction site.

When we brought her to the Sanctuary, we discovered she had pyometra, a life-threatening condition of her womb. We did an immediate spay to resolve that.

Cersei was adopted in June to a lovely family, but she turned out to have issues that the family could not deal with, despite trying for a long time.

We always do the absolute best we can for all our rescues, so we paid for Cersei to undergo 3 months of training and rehabilitation with Crystal Wakeman, our preferred dog trainer.

It's not easy to find homes for dogs with a breed, as many people want them as a status symbol. Finally, we found the right home for Cersei with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth adopted Angela from us previously, and on October 13th, Cersei went to live in her wonderful home with a huge garden and swimming pool.

There have been some issues, but Elizabeth has dealt with them, and Cersei is now living her best life.

You can see Cersei's profile file page here.

Dino RIP

Dino RIP

Dino was rescued on 8 October 2024, very close to death.  He was starving, full of mange, fleas, unable to walk and showing a wound on his leg.  We tried everything to stabilise him and give him a chance, but he passed away in his sleep the next evening.  We are sorry Dino we were just too late.

Basil adopted!

Basil Adopted!

Basil

In July this year, we got reports of a poor dog dragging himself around the streets with a severe hip/leg injury.
It was amazing that he was still alive.  When we eventually found him, he seemed so happy to be rescued!

Basil had mangled back legs and an old hip fracture so there wasn't much we could do.  We amputated on leg to give him better mobility.  We were so happy when the person who reported him, Chelyn, reached out and offered to adopt him. He's now very happy with his own family. Something he probably never thought would happen!  Thank you to Basil's sponsors and to everyone who donated for him. Basil's dreams have come true!
