On 21 July 2024, Jet and Jayce, two abandoned puppies were adopted by two lovely families.  We wish them all the best in their new homes, and hope this is the beginning of more adoptions following the end of our distemper outbreak earlier this year.  Please message us if you can provide a loving home for any of Our Puppies.

We had a good week for adoptions!  On 12 July 2024 Gage left us, followed by sister Gail on 19 July 2024.  They were abandoned puppies and we wish them all the best in their new homes.  We hope we are on a roll now, and our appearances at the Valencia Sunday Markets are raising awareness and triggering more families to bring these little discarded lives a little hope and love.  Please message us if you can provide a loving home for any of Our Puppies.

Casper and Warri go home!

Casper and Warri Go Home

Aziel when rescued

Good bye Warri and Casper!!!!
We have had these wonderful souls in our care for 3 months and on 14 July 2024 they are finally went home!

Warri had a double amputation and is going to her new home in Bohol, a neighboring island.
Casper came from Barkada - a shelter on another island, Camiguin. He had a bad case of TVT cancer on his face. We cured it but he is left with a hole. It doesn't cause him any problems as long as it is cleaned regularly.  Casper is not going back to the shelter, he will stay with the family of the Shelter owner Zowie.
They are such sweet dogs and we will miss them tremendously - but we know they will have much better care than we can give them.
Thank you Art John Sulatre for taking them across to Bohol.

Aziel

Miya – Adopt a Stray

Miya

Miya when rescued

Miya when rescued

Another soul saved as part of our Adopt a Stray program!!

A couple, who are regular followers of DAS, came across a forlorn little girl tied to a tree with no shelter and no fresh water. They went back a few days in a row to feed her then couldn't stand it any more and took her.

We treated her anaemia, ehrlichia, spayed, vaccinated and brought her back to health.  They called her Miya. She stayed at the Sanctuary for over a month until we were sure she was healthy.  She went to her new family on 8 July 2024.

Because we are now severely overcrowded at Sanctuary we can only take in absolutely critical cases or dogs who people will adopt after treatment.

If you see a dog in need of help, and will adopt, we will treat, sterilise and vaccinate for free.

Have a great life Miya. Thank you to the people who gave her a second chance.
