Teo adopted!

Teo Adopted!

Teo adopted

Teo adopted

We have some more good news to share!  Teo, wo is older even than Max we think, was being fed by the wonderful people at Blair's Proper Food Store Blair and Steph. He then disappeared for 2 months and came back with a hole in his head.

Teo being treated

Teo being treated

We took him in, treated him, neutered him, vaccinated him and to our utter delight Olga offered to adopt him. Olga and Noel's house is turning into a dog retirement home!!
Initially he was very aloof as he had really attached to Rudylyn our head vet tech. Much as we really do want to keep them all, we need to make room for other dogs. But Olga and her family worked their charm and now Teo has fallen in love with Daniel and has become his person! You can read more about Teo's life since rescue on his profile page here.

Destiny adopted!

Destiny Adopted!

Destiny adopted

Destiny adopted

Another adult dog adoption!!!  Destiny, one of our paraplegic dogs has been adopted by none other than our shelter manager Rina Ausejo and her partner Dex.

Destiny when rescued

Destiny when rescued

Destiny was the victim of a hit and run who had then fallen in a hole. The people who called us had found her, pulled her out and kept her safe until we picked her up.
She never regained the use of her legs but can get around no problem.
She adjusted to Rina's pack of adopted dogs very quickly and is now well settled in her new home.
Please consider adopting from us. When you do it makes room for one more dog from the street.

Lola adopted!

Lola Adopted!

Lola

Lola

We have some happy news!  Our lovely old lady Lola was adopted by Olga!  Lola was rescued around a year ago. She was clearly a dog who had an owner but she had been abandoned and tied to a gate. She had a fractured leg and was pretty much blind.
Her leg healed and we treated her eyes with sodago stem cell cream and her eyesight significantly improved.
She adapted to Olga's family and the other dogs really quickly and didn't give us a second glance when we left her there!
Olga has taken in a few of our dogs, especially older dogs.
She has a lovely big house and garden where they can relax, potter around and get the peace and quiet they need.
As with all senior dogs we cover vet costs for life so if you would like to adopt a senior dog but are worried about increasing vet costs as they age - don't worry we have it covered.

You can read more about Lola's life since rescue on her profile page here.

Grady adopted!

Amongst the stress cloud of the PayPal issue, there was a lovely ray of sunshine!
Grady was adopted today by a wonderful couple! They came to the Sanctuary to meet Grady first to bond with him, then we took him to his new home.
They really do understand the needs of a rescue dog as they have adopted seven from the street.
We are happy for you Grady!

Jammie adopted!

Jammie Adopted!

Jammie adopted

We had the most wonderful, unexpected news today, Jammie was adopted!  A lovely family came to the Sanctuary today to adopt a puppy.  As they were walking through the Sanctuary to the puppy run, Jammie made a beeline for them.  She chose them!
You might remember, we rescued Jammie from the local pound on the very day she was scheduled for euthanasia.
She was a nervous wreck when we got her and was shaking for weeks. It took a long time for her to trust anyone.
We usually ask adult dog adopters to come a few times to gain the dogs trust.
Jammie didn't need that. She was right in there begging to be taken!
She trotted off happily with them and didn't look back.
We are so happy for you Jammie.
Thank you Brad, Jen and Aleah for taking her into your home.  You can read more about Jammie on her profile page here.
