Story:
At the end of July 2026, we had a heart breaking report of a young dog lying next to the road, yelping and unable to move. Fortunately, we had a lot of adoptions in July so we had some space to be able to rescue the poor boy and we called him Sidney.
He had severe mange, which was causing systemic inflammation, malnourished and in such a weak state it was as though he just had no strength to carry on.
Sidney just slept for his first two days with us but after 10 days of treatment with anti-biotics, nutritional support, IV and immune system support, Sidney is now taking his first tentative steps and responding well. We hope Sidney will gradually be able to start living the life that all young dogs should be able to look forward to. He's a sweetie and we are so just glad we managed to get to him in time.
