In February 2024, we received a report of a large bully-type dog lying listlessly and unable to move. We bought him back to the Sanctuary for investigations and to try to treat him. We called him Clive.

Clive's Story
On 21 February 2023, a large bully-type dog was reported to us in a state of complete collapse. He was so weak he could not lift his head or eat for himself.

A guard said he had turned up a few days previously and hadn't moved, and a lady there had tried to put him under the shade and gave him food and water. We have him on IV and are trying to determine the cause of his weakness. His ears have been mutilated to a tiny box shape which are now infested with maggots. We hope he can make a full recovery.

Clive Clive didn’t make it. He passed away at 11:59pm on Wednesday 27 March 2024. Our night staff tried to revive him but couldn’t. He wasn’t alone. We are devastated.When he started eating a few days ago we thought he had turned a corner but I guess he just didn’t have the strength to keep Click to see post….
