TEODI

Teodi

In November 2024, we rescued a dog with a tight chain embedded deeply in its neck. His owner contacted us about it, and after treatment, we felt it was not in his best interest to be returned to a situation where such long-term suffering was allowed to develop.  We called him Teodi.

Teodi's Story

On 24 November 2024, a dog with an owner was reported to us with a chain collar deeply embedded in his neck.  The procedure to gently release the links from Teodi's flesh was long and difficult, but ultimately successful.

Teodi's wounds

Although Teodi was originally to be returned to the owner, we decided that he deserved a different future, one that does not feature this kind of neglect.  Our adopters commit to never chaining or caging their rescues, so we could not in all consciousness allow Teodi to return to the same situation.  He is now an active, happy dog, who is waiting for a more caring and considerate home.
