MUSKET

Musket

In November 2023, we rescued a dog who had a terrible wound running down the back of his head.  We managed to find some space in the Sanctuary for him, and already the laser treatment is having an amazing affect!  He's so happy, we called him Musket.

WARNING - MUSKET'S WOUNDS WERE SEVERE, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR SOME DISTURBING IMAGES IF YOU SCROLL FURTHER.

Musket's Story

On 15 November 2023, we received reports of a dog with a massive festering headwound.  He had taken refuge in the Talay Evacuation Centre but wouldn't let anyone near him to look at it. All our quarantine and clinic cages were full with sick dogs and adopt a stray rescues.

But we couldn't get this poor dog out of our minds and with some reshuffling, we managed to free up one cage so we could take him in.  We cleaned his wound, and began laser therapy with our recently purchased machine.  It really is a miracle worker!

Just one week later, the wound is already beginning to heal, and he is the happiest and gentlest of dogs!  It's as though he knows we're trying our best to help him, and he's so grateful, it breaks our hearts!

We cannot tell what caused the wounds, but as he doesn't seem aggressive towards humans, perhaps it was an attack from another street dog that became infected.  We don't have an adopter for this lovely boy. Is there anyone willing to adopt him when he's fully recovered, vaccinated and neutered?
He has the sweetest nature.  Please please consider him as a new member of your family.
