In June 2023, we rescued dog that was hit by a car and staggered into a drainage ditch. She slowly regained her mobility, but is now a very gentle soul with a mischievous side!

Krista's Story
On 20 June 2023, we rescued Krista from a canal where she had fallen in following a hit-and-run accident with a car. She was well-fed for a street dog, so perhaps she had some people caring for her.
With the Distemper outbreak ongoing at the Sanctuary, she was fostered temporarily with Gemma.
She went to see Doc Geoffrey at Petvet Animal Medical Center for check up and vaccinations.
Krista could not walk properly but didn't seem to have any broken bones. Over time, with patience and laser therapy, she regained her mobility.

Krista is now quite sociable, loves to be petted, and loves to play games and would fit in well with almost any family.
