Rescued in April 2021, Jonny appeared to have been shot in the eye.
He was very wary of human contact, but after while settled in to life in the Sanctuary, and is now a friendly and approachable old soul.
Jonny's Story
Jonny was rescued from the streets of Bacong on April 1st 2021. We picked him up because he had a severe injury to his eye.
When we got him to the clinic we found that his eyeball had been pretty much eaten by maggots. He must have been in terrible pain.

These are the maggots that we removed.
The vet had to remove Jonny’s eye as there was nothing left to save – and then discovered a bullet from an airgun. Someone had clearly shot him. We later discovered a bullet in his leg and chest.
Jonny’s surgery went well and he is now out with the main pack. He likes to sit outside the new clinic with his buddy Ozzy.
