Carla

In December 2024, we rescued a dog that had fallen down a well.  She was originally to be returned once she had been checked over and spayed, but with the Distemper outbreak at the time, she could not be released.  We called her Carla

Carla's Story

On 4 December 2024, we recued a dog reported as being lost down a well.  She was timid and thin, but otherwise undamaged.  We bought her in with the intention of feeding her up, immunising and spaying her, to be then returned to the reporter for care.  Sadly the Distemper outbreak at the Sanctuary through Christmas and the early part of 2025 meant we could not return her safely to the streets.

Carla when rescued

After the latest Distemper outbreak subsided, we felt it would be heartless and not in her best interests to return her to an uncertain future, so she is now waiting, like so many others, for a permanent adopted home.

She is such a gentle girl, she surely deserves a loving home now.
