BEA

Bea

In March 2024, we bought in an young dog with cancerous tumors. Happily we have a good success rate in curing these cancers if we get to them in time.  Bea spent 3 months at the Sanctuary, where she was also neutered and given all her jabs.

Bea's Story

On 10 March 2024, we rescued Bea, who a bad case of TVT - Transmissible Veneral Tumors - which we hoped would be beaten back with appropriate chemotherapy.

Nacho's cancers

Despite her illness, she is a very loving and affectionate young girl.  Thankfully the treatment was successful, and she made a full recovery. In all other aspects she seems to be a healthy young dog, especially so for a stray.  It's a testament of the care given in the locality by Colin, owner of Kingaroos Bar in Bacong, who feeds, deworms, rehomes and vaccinates countless strays at his own expense.

Here's Bea, formerly known as Lily, back in the arms of Colin.  She'll live out her days as a "live-in stray", free to wander with her pals on the beach, but with a safe bed to return to every night if she wants.  A good life for her, finally.  That's if we can ever get Colin to put her down!
