We have some wonderful news, Sky was adopted by a wonderful couple Tiffany and Vaun. Sky took to them straight away.
The picture with Sky's head on Vaun's knee was taken just ten minutes after she arrived at her new home. Thanks so much for adopting an older dog. It's quite rare!!! You can read more about Sky on her profile page here.

Archie adopted
We had some more amazing news today, Archie was adopted!!!! Hopefully now he isn't living in the kitchen he may lose some weight.
His adopter is Eren, who adopted another DAS dog Roxy last year.
She came to the Sanctuary at the weekend to meet our senior dogs and despite Archie being a grumpy old man, she chose him.
Ding, Rudylyn and Rina took him to his forever home this afternoon.
We will really miss you Archie, but you deserve your own family.
It's so rare that an adult dog gets adopted let alone a senior!!!

Today we successfully facilitated our FIRST adoption to Manila. This is such good progress for us! Little Minnie went to her forever home with Melissa and Paolo.
She travelled in cargo and was picked up in Manila as soon as she arrived. We prepared her crate and she left the Sanctuary at 7am to catch her 10am flight.
If anyone in Manila would like to adopt it costs 1000 pesos per 5 kilos weight of dog plus the cost of a crate.
Please consider adopting from DAS. We cannot continue rescuing unless we find homes for the 140 dogs we already are looking after at the shelter.
We can facilitate adoptions to Cebu and Manila - but we ask adopters to cover the transport costs.
