We have such sad news. Pippa didn't make it. She passed away at around 3:30pm on Tuesday 16 August at Animal Wellness.
We really hoped her kidneys would recover but tragically they didn't.
She leaves behind a son, little Pepper, who is currently in foster care.

Thank you to everyone who donated for Pippa. We gave her every possible treatment with no expense spared because of your generosity.
Again, we take comfort in the knowledge that she knew love and care, free from pain in the last few days of her life.
So sorry sweet Pippa, run free.
Sometimes this is all that we can do.

On Saturday 8 August we had reports of a dog in severe distress. We went out to rescue her and brought her back to the Sanctuary.  She had been the victim of a hit and run and we suspected internal bleeding as blood had come out of her ears.
She also had multiple tumors.

We put her on IV and strong pain medication while we observed, but sadly she passed away on Saturday evening at 9:30pm.  We called her Cassie, and we are sorry we couldn't save her.  At least she knew love and care at the end.

Good news, Kira was finally adopted! Kira was found abandoned in early June 2022 along with adopted siblings Kerri, Coco, and Kimmy, and we were worried that despite her loving and playful character, she was being overlooked by recent adopters.  Finding homes for young dogs as they move out of puppyhood is not easy, so we are delighted she has made a match!  Thanks so much Neil and family. We wish you a long and happy life together!!

Four Pups Find Homes at Robinsons Mall!

In kind donations

We had another great day at Robinson's Mall Dumaguete! Thank you to everyone that came out to visit, donate and adopt!
We received a lot of in-kind and cash donations and we had 4 puppies adopted!  Aileen and family adopted Darla, Carl adopted Dixie, Riza and family adopted Padme and Marvin and Andrew adopted Arwen!  It was Darla's second adoption as she sadly had to be given up by her original adopters as a young member of the family proved to be allergic to her.  We hope it's second time lucky for her!

Merlin adopted!

We have some bittersweet news! Merlin was adopted yesterday by Jose and his wife.

We really wanted the family of 3 to be adopted together (Milly and Mabel) but it clearly wasn't happening and when Jose said he wanted to adopt Merlin we knew we had to let him go before he gets too old as then his chances of adoption would decrease significantly.

Merlin really took to Jose when he met him and was trying to chase all the other dogs away from him.  You can read more about Merlin on his profile page here. Like all our dogs, we will miss him immensely, if we could keep them all forever we would!  Milly and Mabel are still waiting - check out their profile pages!
