On 23 November 2023, under our "Adopt a Stray" programme, we rescued a dog who was destined to be adopted by their reporter once she had been returned to health by us.

She struggled to move her back legs, and tested positive for Erlichia and Anaplasma. It may be sometime before her adopter will be welcoming her to her new home, but we will do our best to make her happy and whole once more. She has a bright future!

Poor little Lorna, a lone puppy abandoned close to the Sanctuary on 18 October 2023 passed away on 21 November 2023. Like all really young puppies, she needs the best start in life, otherwise complications due to malnutrition or disease can easily carry them off. We are sorry Lorna you had such a short life, but hope you knew love and care from humans before you passed so quickly.

Kara adopted
Adoptions of our rescues have really slowed down over the last couple months so we were over the moon when Maura and her husband Tajji chose to adopt from us and give one of our dogs, the forever home they deserve. They chose 6 month old Kara, sister of Kylie, who is still waiting for her new home.
Please consider adopting one of our rescues. Until we get more adoptions, we are really limited in our ability to rescue.

Ryan adopted
We're so pleased that little Ryan has found his loving home with Mark and family. His sibling Rhys already found theirs, and we were getting worried he'd be left behind. Good luck Ryan!
