Adoption
Two Kitties find some peace and quiet!
Two kitties find some peace and quiet!
Although we'd love to help, we are really not set up to look after kittens and cats, with over 150 dogs at the Sanctuary. Luckily, Daley and Duke were quickly adopted and will soon be enjoying some peace and quiet away from all these barking hounds!
More Homes for Tiny Pups!
More Homes for Tiny Pups!
Our second consecutive Sunday at Robinsons Mall Dumaguete secured loving homes for two more little souls! This creates more room at the Sanctuary, so adopting one can help save another. Thanks again Robinsons for hosting us!
Ellie Mae was a stray bought into the Sanctuary by Richard one of our volunteers, and Daphne had previously been adopted but escaped, so we found her a (hopefully) more permanent home!
What a Weekend for Adoptions!
A Wonderful Adoption Weekend!
Our return to Robinsons Mall Dumaguete on Sunday 26 June 2022 has been more than worth the wait! 7 puppies found their new homes, which adding to the great news that Diego was adopted yesterday means 8 pups embarking on new and happy lives! More than this, it means we have made space for more rescues, so taking in one little soul means another gets their chance too. Thanks Robinsons for hosting us!
7 puppies were adopted on one day in Robinsons Mall - Daphne, Kimmy, Kerri, Coco, Otto, Diego, Peaches - and Bobby was adopted on Saturday 25 June.
Jimmy checks out!
Jimmy Checks Out!
Not exactly an adoption story - but we believe Jimmy is where he wants to be. In late June, after a few weeks' recovery from surgery on a terrible wound in the side of his head, and after being vaccinated and putting on a few kilos, he managed to slip out of the gate when we had a delivery and never returned.
This is common with old street dogs - they just want to get back to the place that they are used to and really don't like being confined to the Sanctuary. They usually come back, but not so far. Jimmy will have likely made his way back to his previous area near Treba beach, Bacong and we will keep an eye out .
The good thing is his wounds have all healed, he is vaccinated and is now healthy.
You can read more about Jimmy on his profile page here.
