We have more great news to announce!  Do you remember Walter?
He is an old dog that was the victim of a hit and run and was left unable to move his back legs. We rescued him and got him a long course of laser therapy and also physical therapy. He finally regained the ability to walk. Walter was always a little grumpy and took a long time to warm up to staff.

Old dogs like Walter rarely if ever get adopted so we were over the moon when Apple, the lady who first reported him asked if she could adopt him.   He went to her home last week and finally is coming around! He still won't stay inside the house but they are working on it slowly. He now lets Apple pet him and hopefully soon he will be inside the house on the sofa!!  Thanks so much Apple for adopting Walter.

We have so many beautiful old souls at the Sanctuary that just need a warm safe place to sleep, a little exercise and a lot of love.
Please consider adopting a senior dog from us and give them the life they deserve in their final years.

What an amazing day at Robinsons Dumaguete!!! So many thank you's to say!  We had 10 puppies adopted to good homes. Adopters were screened in our usual way and we will follow up as always. Olive, Pearl, Carina, Titan, Carly, Nova, Raven, Bear, Misty and Opal all found homes.  We received 22,560php in donations and 7,548php in sales from t-shirts and mugs.  AND we did 67 free rabies vaccinations!!

Thanks so much Robinsons Dumaguete for again allowing us to hold the drive. You have helped us adopt over 100 puppies!

Titan has found his forever home!  At a record-breaking Sunday Adoption Drive at Robinson's Mall Dumaguete, Ginny and her dog Cash made permanent friends, and now they are embarking on a new life together.  We couldn't be happier, that despite Titan's poor start in life, he now has the chance to live a long and happy one.  Thanks Ginny!

Hope Adopted!

We have some wonderful news! One of our adult dogs was adopted this week.  Hope went to her forever home with one of our previous DAS adopters, Tommy and his family. They adopted Ben, one of Rubors puppies, just over a year ago and decided it was time to get Ben a playmate.  It's rare for adult dogs to get adopted so we were thrilled when he said he wanted an older dog.

Ben was very used to being the only dog so it was important that we found the right match. We decided on Hope and took her to meet Ben to see how it would go. Initially Ben was not happy, he was trying to attack Hope but over time and with persistence, vigilance and patience from the family Hope and Ben are now the best of friends!  Please, please consider adopting from us so we can continue the valuable work we are doing.  If you would like to come and meet some of our adult dogs at the shelter with a view to adoption, let us know.
