Adoptions of our rescues have really slowed down over the last couple months so we were over the moon when Maura and her husband Tajji chose to adopt from us and give one of our dogs, the forever home they deserve.  They chose 6 month old Kara, sister of Kylie, who is still waiting for her new home.
Please consider adopting one of our rescues. Until we get more adoptions, we are really limited in our ability to rescue.

Some amazing news - after waiting patiently for over a year, Frosty has found his forever home with Nick and Cathey.  We couldn't be happier for him, as he's had a horrid 12 months, not least losing his leg as it just was no longer healing.  Click below to hear all about his rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing, and check out his profile page here.

More good news! Do you remember Jammie?  She was a rescue from the pound almost a year ago. She was scheduled for euthanasia literally a couple of hours after we rescued her. She shook constantly in fear for the first few months until staff won her trust.
We never thought she would attach to an adopter but one day Brad and his family came to look for a dog to adopt and Jammie ran right up to them and won their hearts.  We normally ask adopters of adult dogs to come a few times to bond. But Jammie walked right out the door with them and never looked back.  She is treated like a queen! As she should be.

This weekend, Brad and his family came back to adopt another dog and chose Rhys.  Thank you so much for adopting two of our dogs.

Some fantastic news - two dogs were adopted on 9 October 2023 by the family who adopted Puck from us around a year ago.
They adopted Pogo, a puppy that was dumped outside the shelter with his siblings Paco and Polly.
And they adopted Jade, an adult dog who we thought would never be adopted despite her super friendly nature. Jade was rescued when we found her collapsed, weak and hairless at the beginning of this year.

We have been getting more adult dogs adopted recently, which is such great news as we rarely used to have people interested in the adult dogs.
She now finally has her own family, as does Pogo, which is all we want for our rescues. Thank you Kit and family for adopting 3 of our rescues.
