Taffy

One of our supporters who rescues many dogs on his own was trying to feed her.  However, over time she developed a skin condition which became infected and developed terrible wounds.

When she started to become very sick the owners of the field untied her and tried to chase her away. Fortunately for Taffy, DAS had some space after a number of recent adoptions so she was brought to the sanctuary as her reporter already had too many rescues.

Taffy has been with us for a month and with cage rest, nourishment and medication for mange she is starting to recover. She is still in the clinic receiving treatment but we look forward to seeing her personality emerge as she gets used to her surroundings and starts to feel better.
