Zara and Zuri adopted again
We're delighted that Zara and Zuri have been adopted together again, we wish them all the best. We bought them back to the Sanctuary as their first adopters could not keep up with their vaccinations, despite us offering them for free for the first year. It's really not much to ask, and is part of the Adoption Commitment we ask all our adopters to read, understand and comply with.

Zara and Zuri are one of a very small number of dogs who have been adopted, but for various reasons, these arrangements have just not worked out. We follow up on all our adoptees until we are sure that they are ok and settled into their new families. If we believe that they are not happy there - or unable to receive the standard of care that we expect, we bring them back.
Often the reason is that the new owners don't have the time to give to the rescues or that the work involved in looking after a dog was more than they anticipated. We carefully vet each adopter, and ask them to adhere to our Adoption Commitment, but sometimes things just don't work out. Regardless of the reason, the health and happiness of the adopted dog is our primary concern, and we will not hesitate to recover animals we feel would be better placed elsewhere. Great news this afternoon. Our youngest puppies, Zara and Zuri went to their forever home.
It's a lovely home with a walled garden so they will have a lot of space to play. And the best thing is they will always be together.
It's a really good idea to get two dogs as opposed to one as they have another dog to play with and for company. This reduces separation anxiety and excessive barking when they are alone.
