Valentina's Story
On 13 February 2023, a lady came to the shelter and said she had seen a dog lying in the road, seemingly a hit and run. We have so many critical cases right now I was really hesitant but said yes as I couldn't bear to leave it suffering.
She brought the dog to the shelter and on examination, its an old injury so the poor dog will have been dragging herself around for who knows how long. We called her Valentina, being so close to Valentines Day.

She has similar injuries to Sinead, Allie, and Garbe.
We started her on laser therapy immediately and also take her for x-rays. This kind of injury isn't usually painful at this stage, as nerves are damaged, but they need a lot of care and daily wrapping of legs to avoid abrasions. We hope to see some improvement after a few more sessions.

Valentina In February 2024, we received a report of a dog unable to use her rear legs. It wasn’t a new injury and she didn’t seem to be in pain. We have had some success with restoring mobility with our laser therapy machine so we took her in and called her Valentina.Valentina Valentina’s Story On Click to see post….
