Seamus's Story
On 5 January 2023, we took in an older dog who was reported collapsed in a field, very weak, dehydrated, skinny and full of mange. We called him Seamus.
We couldn't find him initially, but with the help of a local wedding party, we found him scraping together a poor meal of discarded scraps in a nearby field.
Our team sprang into action, expertly collecting him up without harming him or themselves. The Christmas Donations Drive was very generously supported, so we had enough funds to rescue him and a few other worthy cases. We managed to shake off the mange with the help of Bravecto medication, put some weight back on and live on in a much happier state than that in which he was found.
He loves a good sunbathe, and is usually found in the centre of the Sanctuary keeping an eye on what's going on!
