Hairy
Hairy's Story
We took in Hairy from another local animal shelter on 19 July 2019. He was extremely nervous, and the first chance he got, he escaped! No matter how hard we tried, we couldn’t get near him. He never left the area outside the shelter so we fed him outside and slowly tried to gain his trust.

Then one day, we opened the gate and he just walked straight in! He kept himself to himself for a while and lived in the office area. He had a lot of problems with bronchitis for a while, probably due to living outside for so long but it cleared up with antibiotics.
He is now so much more sociable with Sanctuary staff.
He lives with a pack we call "The Unsociables", so called because they are devoted to each other, and chase off every other dog that comes near their turf! He is best buddies with Iron and Brave and now is much more sociable with people! He's just a big softy now.
