Calvin's Story
On 8 July 2023, we arrived at the Sanctuary to be met by a box containing three puppies, all abandoned on the side of the road. We are working so hard to help reduce the stray population through free or low cost sterilisation programmes, but are prepared for this sad scene to play out many times more before our work will begin to show some benefit.
In late October 2023, brother Chester was adopted, and started out on his path to his best life. We hope poor Calvin isn't far behind, as he is a lovely quiet dog who likes cuddles and taking naps in the sun.
Calvin is now a very handsome young dog, with a lovely temperament. We believe that among the many benefits of adopting from the Sanctuary is that the puppies here have known to expect nothing from humans than love, care and attention.
As a result, they are already friendly, playful and happy to go with you to their new homes. All you need to do is carry on the good work started by us at the Sanctuary!
