Buttercup
Buttercup was reported to us on 15th March 2021 – the victim of a hit and run. X-rays showed she had a broken hind leg, and was full of mange and mites.
She is a friendly dog, who has made a remarkable recovery. She was to be adopted by the reporter but that never came about, so she is still waiting for her new home.
Buttercup's Story
Buttercup was reported to us on 15th March – the victim of a hit and run. We had absolutely no space in quarantine or the clinic at the time but the reporter / rescuer said if we checked and treated her they would adopt her.

Buttercup when rescued
We sent her for x-rays and blood tests. We found that she had a fractured back leg but there was nothing we could do here are there are no clinics that have the equipment for bone surgery.
Generally we amputate if a dog has a bad fracture but Doc Pierre thought that Buttercup's leg would heal.

Buttercup
We never heard from the rescuer again after she dropped Buttercup off and she never replied to our messages – so of course we made room for her.
She is now walking around without a problem.
She was very timid when we brought her in but she is gained confidence as the weeks went by.
She's now a loveable bundle of softness, who loves her walks, and we're astonished nobody has yet stepped up to give her the home she deserves.
