ALIX

Alix

Alix was reported to us at the beginning of February 2021 because she had a rope tied tightly around her neck and the rope was cutting into her neck.

Her wound is now healed, and she is a sweet-natured dog, always happy to play, and would be great for a family with similar energy levels!

Alix's Story

Tying dogs with ropes and chains is a common problem we see here. As they continue to grow they get slowly strangled by the rope/chain and it cuts into the tissues and becomes infested with maggots.

Alix's wound

Unfortunately, because our quarantine was full, we had to wait a couple of weeks before we could bring her in.
In the meantime, the reporter had begun to feed her and gain her trust so she was easy to capture when we went to get her.

Alix when rescued

Alix is such a friendly sweet dog. We think she was born around Feb 2020. She gets on really well with other dogs and people and has a LOT of energy. She always wants to play!
