Garbe
In November 2023, under our "Adopt a Stray" programme, we rescued a dog who was destined to be adopted by their reporter once she had been returned to health by us.
Sadly, her daily needs given her condition meant her prospective adopter could not commit to looking after her, so she is still looking for her forever home.
Garbe's Story
On 23 November 2023, a dog was reported to us struggling to move her back legs. She tested positive for Erlichia and Anaplasma. The reporter wanted to adopt her, but after a while at the Sanctuary it became clear that Garbe would not be regaining the use of her legs, and would therefore require more care than it was in the reporter's ability to provide.

Garbe
She has similar injuries to Sinead and Allie. We have seen a number of dogs with paralysed hind legs, and although their limbs often need wrapping every day to prevent scratches and sores, and care needs to be taken to make sure they remain clean after peeing or pooping, they have in all other respects a happy and contented life.

If you feel you can offer a comfortable home and give Garbe the care she needs and deserves, please get in touch. She is such a lovely soul.
