Bhodi
In January 2024, we got a call reporting a dog that had been tied to a fence and abandoned. Although this is a criminal offence in the Philippines, prosecutions are rare. In this case, it's difficult to understand the motives behind this abandonment as usually it's because the animal is old, sick or both. Bhodi is neither.
Bhodi's Story
We don't have the space, finances, or capacity to take in healthy dogs - there are so many strays in bad condition that we need to prioritize. We had someone look after him in their home for a few days, while we chose a lovely family to adopt him. However, when we took him to his new home, we saw that the fence was not as secure as we originally thought.
There was a significant chance he would get out.
So now we are looking again. He's a beautiful boy, very healthy and very friendly. He seems really good with other dogs. He's active and energetic.
We need an adopter who will treat him as part of the family, take him for regular walks, can afford vet care if needed and doesn't tie or cage. They will need to have a secure fenced and gated property.
Please message if you would like to adopt him.
