Wena

Wena was brought in as a tiny puppy – just around a week old – with her mother Chloe and her sibling Isla in March 2020.

She's grown into a very healthy dog and has not been sick in all her time at the Sanctuary.

Wena's Story

Wena's mother Chloe was a stray who was being fed by two of our regular donors. She was in a bad condition due to mange and had just given birth on the side of the road. She was moving the four puppies up and down the road.

The happy outcome is that Chloe is fully recovered and was adopted by Rina, and two more were adopted which left just Wena looking for her new home.

The years have passed, and Wena is still here.  She is affectionate with staff but is still wary of visitors.  We'd love for her to find a permanent home, but in the meantime, she is happy to while away her time just outside the caretaker's house with her buddy Bruno.
