ROSY

Rosy

Rosy's story is a very painful one to tell.  She was rescued in July 2024 from a horrific situation that she and her three puppies had to endure at the hands of an abusive human being. One puppy died before we could act, but Rosy and her two remaining pups were rescued and are now safe.

Rosy's Story

On 2 July 2024, late at night we received a video of animal abuse where a male person kept throwing a puppy to an aggressive chained-up dog so that the dog attacked the puppy. The puppy managed to escape but the abuser kept throwing it back.  The neighbors are terrified of repercussions and were afraid to report and give their names.

First thing the next morning we went to the local barangay office to and they took action straightaway. We went to the property and got Rosy, Moxie and the two remaining puppies - Wayne and Wilma.  Sadly the puppy in the video was already dead. The perpetrator was nowhere in sight, but we are talking to lawyers and the Police about finding this criminal and bringing him to justice.

We often are faced with crimes against animals - mainly careless neglect or abandonment - and do not have the resources to pursue cases against those responsible as the costs and effort are simply beyond us as a charity.  However, this time we are going to do whatever we can to make sure the perpetrator is held accountable.

Rosy is safe at the Sanctuary now, and is very sweet, but understandably nervous around people she doesn't know.  In time, we hope she finds a caring, new family so she can put her horrific past behind her.
