PUGSLEY

Pugsley

In November 2023, we received a harrowing call about a terribly neglected dog with head injuries left under a tree.  Because of his pedigree, with think he may have been kept in a cage and used just for breeding.  We cleaned him up as best we could, and called him Pugsley.

WARNING - PUGLEY'S WOUNDS WERE SEVERE, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR SOME DISTURBING IMAGES IF YOU SCROLL FURTHER.

Pugsley's Story

On 24 November 2023, we rescued the most heart-breaking case. We got a call from a young woman crying about a dog she had just found lying under a tree. She said it was in a terrible state and could she bring it to us. When we saw the video I didn't hesitate. She was quite far away but got the dog to us as soon as we could.

Of course we have no idea what happened to him but its likely he was dumped for some reason and left to die. We have no idea how long he was lying where he was found.  Even when they were pulling off the dead skin and maggots he was attempting to wag his tail, showing his true, brave character.  He continues to respond to his treatment, and we hope when he
