NEMO

Nemo

In July 2022, we took in a group of young pups, and all were found a home quite quickly, including one we called Pele.  The neglect of his adopters meant we took Pele back for his own good, along with a buddy he was protecting.  They were in a poor state.  We called the buddy Nemo.

Nemo's Story

In July 2022, Pele and his siblings were callously abandoned near the Sanctuary as weeks-old puppies.  Pele was soon found a home with who we thought were a loving family ready to care for him for the rest of his life.

However, on 6 May 2024 we got a message from the neighbors of the adopters who was a witness to the neglect of Pele. You can read more about Pele's sad story on his profile here.

As soon as we heard we went straight there and insisted that we take both dogs. We weren't about to take Pele and leave the other, which we called Nemo. It was a difficult rescue as the dogs were terrified and poor Pele was trying to protect the other dog. We finally got them both and took them to vet house.

Nemo

Nemo is the sweetest boy but a little timid, although his confidence has grown over the year.  Can anyone give them a second chance?
