LUCY

Lucy

Lucy was rescued on 20th April 2021, another poor soul being strangled by a rusty chain.

Her wound has healed, and her coat has grown back beautifully.  She can be playful, but is often still quite shy around strangers, which is understandable given the start in life she had.

Lucy's Story

Lucy had been chained up probably not long after she was born around October 2020.  The chain was so deeply embedded in her skin, it to Doc Pierre an hour to cut it out.

Dogs are often tied up with chains or ropes to prevent them from escaping. Often the chain or rope is too short to allow the dog to move more than a few feet in any direction.

It is a miserable life, and when they get sick or their condition deteriorates as it often does, the owners lack the funds or knowledge to do anything about it, and the dog continues to suffer.

Luckily for Lucy, she has another chance at a better life.  Her coat recovered, and she is as pretty as the day she was born.
