One of two dogs rescued with the help of sponsorships and donations, Katrina was being fed by Lito, and was clearly about to give birth. Originally part of a larger pack, the other strays have been taken away by the City for destruction, or poisoned. She was rescued in December 2021.

Part of a larger group of strays at Silliman Beach being fed by local Lito, only Katrina and Stella, who had TVT, were still there when we had raised enough funds to take them in.

The remaining pack was either poisoned or rounded up by the City for destruction. We got to her just in time, and 9 puppies in all were delivered by Rina, the last one arriving at 2.30am!

Katrina came through her ordeal, and has now settled into her preferred place in the Sanctuary, near the kitchen but away from most of the more boisterous and energetic dogs. Seems she has had more than enough excitement in her life, and enjoys being left in peace!

We are happy that these puppies were not born on the streets, and were given a chance of a good life. All of them found new homes.
