HUXLEY

Huxley

In October 2024, we received a report of a dog with a severe head wound.  It was almost impossible to believe such a large area could ever heal, but we had to give him a chance.  We called him Huxley.

WARNING - HUXLEY'S HEAD WOUNDS WERE SEVERE, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR SOME DISTURBING IMAGES IF YOU SCROLL FURTHER.

Huxley's Story

On 27 October 2024, rescued Huxley from just outside a school in Dumaguete.  Most of his scalp had been taken off.
These kinds of wounds are quite common in strays and can be a result of any wound that becomes infected and the tissue gets eaten away.
It could have been from a hit and run, a dog fight, or at the hands of humans. We really don't know.

Huxley healing

Huxley is now recovering in our clinic, where his wound is being treated with high-grade manuka honey, and daily wound cleaning.  He has a big character and despite what must be a very painful and distressing wound, he is full of love, life and energy!
