Amelia

One of four dogs rescued from the City Pound on Christmas Eve 2021, Amelia was a shy girl, but gradually became bolder as she adapted to her new surroundings. She needs a caring and patient new owner.

Amelia's Story

Through the generosity of many donors, sponsors and adopters, and the support of Robinson's Mall Dumaguete, who hosted us for four weekends leading up to Christmas, we had the funds and space to empty the City Pound of unwanted dogs and captured strays.

Sadly, surrendered pets, or strays caught by the authorities in Dumaguete have little time at the Pound during which owners can claim them, or new homes found.

We decided to empty the Pound on Christmas Eve 2021, and Amelia was one of four dogs we found. She has a very sweet face, but is very timid and will need a gentle approach.

Along with Lottie, Eleanor and Natalie, she was checked for Distemper, and all were found to be clear. Natalie was the lucky one to be adopted, but Eleanor and Amelia are still waiting.
