Rescued in September 2022 after a report of a hit and run, we were fearful little Vinny wouldn't pull through. It seems like he has different ideas, and we are happy to be proved wrong. When he's healed, he'll be a wonderful addition to any caring family.

Vinny's Story
On 12 September 2022, despite being over capacity, we had to respond to this report of a puppy being intentionally ridden over by a tricycle taxi-cab. No one had any information on who the driver was and there was no CCTV in the area. A passerby brought him to the Sanctuary and he was basically unable to move.
Vinny when rescued
There was no vet clinic available to take him in so we did emergency first aid at the Sanctuary and took him to Animal Wellness the next morning. He didn't have any broken bones according to the x-rays but his blood test results show severe anaemia - he was also having seizures, which could have been due to an electrolyte imbalance.

Due to the generosity of donors, we managed to raise enough funds to cover most of his treatment costs, and he returned to the Sanctuary a few days later. He has a good appetite, and his seizures appear to be subsiding. We hope he continues on his road to recovery, and his short, miserable life can be turned around through the care of our staff and the kindness of strangers.

Robinsons Mall Does It Again!

What a wonderful day we had at Robinsons Mall with another adoption drive. Its making such a difference - 7 puppies / dogs adopted and 15,830php in cash donations plus dog biscuits and dog chews.
Thanks as always to Estella for organizing the drive and for working relentlessly with Richard, Dex, Gemma and Alvin all day trying to get good homes for the dogs.

Anaya was adopted by friends of Estella. She was rescued after a hit-and-run left her with a broken leg, unable to move to safety. She's the softest dog, and well-deserves her new home. Read more about her story here.
Hazel, Haley, Hattie, Sandy and DeeDee are all young puppies who have all been abandoned and rescued by us over the last month or so.
