One of our volunteers Pati found a little dog who was wandering around Robinsons Mall in Dumaguete. She was super friendly and apparently trying to attach her self to anyone who walked by. She is still super friendly, and is beginning to make a recovery from her very uncertain start in life.

Tula's Story
Rescued on 7 June 2022, Tula was wandering around a local shopping mall trying to make friends with anyone who would pay her attention. She tested negative for Parvo and Distemper and also for tick borne diseases such as Ehrlicia, Anaplasma and Lyme. She was also free of Heartworm.

We did blood tests and her red blood cells are low which is normal when a dog has been deprived of food and good nutrition. She did however test positive for Demodex Mites - this is a kind of mange caused by mites that naturally occur in dogs but become problematic when their immune system is compromised.

We gave her Nexgard Spectra to deal with this, and with a programme of proper nutrition, she has developed into a healthier and much happier dog. Despite her poor beginnings, she has a wonderfully energetic and loving outlook on life, and we feel sure she'll be an ideal addition to some lucky family.
