TITAN

Titan

Titan was reported in January 2023 having been thrown from a motorcycle.  The deformities of his forelegs are a result of a poor diet, but with medical treatment and proper nutrition, he should grow up to be a healthy, happy soul.

Titan's Story

On 15 January 2023, we had to respond to the desperate case of a young dog being thrown from a moving motorcycle.  Titan’s owners were apparently so shocked by his deformations, that they decided to dump him like a fly-tipped bag of trash.

With many kind donations, we took him in, and after tests, was diagnosed with Rickets, which affects puppies when they are fed a poorly balanced diet that’s lacking in vital vitamins and minerals. This can happen when a puppy is not getting (enough) milk from its mother and isn’t given an appropriate substitute.

We’re very hopeful that Titan will make a full recovery. In most cases, puppies will see an improvement in symptoms within 1 week, can return to some normal activities within 3 weeks, and will be back to living a normal life within 8 weeks.
