Shadow was our first rescue at the Sanctuary, in June 2019.
She was a pregnant stray, who unfortunately lost all her puppies, probably due to an infestation passed on you her offspring.
She loves people and dogs, and needs a patient and loving home to help her adapt to a new life after so long at the Sanctuary.

shadow's STORY
Shadow was the very first DAS dog at the shelter. We took her in early June 2019 before even the caretakers had moved in.
She was a stray in Sibulan about to give birth and had nowhere safe to have her puppies. We brought her into the shelter and then a week later the caretakers moved in and were able to give her a lot of one to one attention.

She gave birth to 6 puppies but all died within a day. The vet believed she had a worm infestation that was passed to the puppies.
For quite a few months, while the shelter was still being built, she enjoyed so much one on one attention, but now that we have nearly 100 dogs, she doesn’t get as much which is a shame as she is such a people dog.

She was adopted once, but the adopter was not suitable as she expected shadow to adjust immediately and play with her other dogs. She had no patience to let Shadow adjust at her own pace, so we brought her back. She gets on well with other dogs but is still pretty much the boss as far as the other dogs are concerned. We guess she was born in 2017.
