In April 2023 we were notified of this poor girl with nylon rope tied so tightly round her neck it had cut deep into her tissues exposing her trachea.
She looked so much like another rescue from February, Philip, and as her wounds were inflicted in an identical way, we called her Philippa.

Philippa's Story
On 13 April 2023, we rescued a female dog with nylon rope deeply embedded in her neck.
Injuries like this usually occur when people tie up puppies who then escape and as the puppy grows the rope slowly strangles them.
Philip
She was understandably very hostile and aggressive and was quite difficult to handle.
But in just a couple of weeks our staff have managed to gain her trust.
Her wound is healing well.
