BONNY

Bonny

Bonny

Rescued on 25 November 2021, Bonny was a stray being fed by a Guard at a local hospital, but her Mange and malnutrition were beginning to take over.

She may be a candidate for "care in the community", a plan that gets strays back to good health, and then once sterilised, returned to their life as a stray with help from their local humans.

Bonny's Story

Bonny was rescued 25 November 2021 from outside Ace Hospital, where a guard was feeding her scraps of food. She was very thin, had mange and some superficial wounds on her legs.

Bonny being rescued

As she was being fed, she may be a candidate for "trap-neuter-release" and care in the community.  Of course we would love it if she were adopted, but the life of a stray is rarely one of sickness and starvation.  Many live happy lives, foraging for food, running in packs and living a wild life.

Bonny will be treated at the Sanctuary, given vaccinations, a tattoo that marks her as free from Rabies, and neutered, so she can no longer add to the numbers of strays in the locality.  With additional support from us, she will likely be ok to go back.

Bonny

She is a gentle soul, and should anyone like to step forward and provide her a loving home, they will be repaid with love in abundance.

Bonny adoptedHere's some very happy news - Bonnie has been adopted!! We rescued Bonnie from the grounds of Ace hospital on November 25th 2021 - just over three months ago. She had wounds on her legs and was very thin. Now she is fully recovered, healthy, vaccinated and spayed and has also overcome the Ehrlichia that she had. Look at the difference! Here are pictures of her initial report and yesterday in her new home with Lovely and her family! Thanks Lovely and Aicie for giving her a home. We would also like to thank you for coming to the shelter so many times to connect with her before you adopted her.
