Norrie is one of a very small number of dogs who have been adopted, but for various reasons, these arrangements have just not worked out.  We follow up on all our adoptees until we are sure that they are ok and settled into their new families. If we believe that they are not happy there - or unable to receive the standard of care that we expect, we bring them back.

Often the reason is that the new owners don't have the time to give to the rescues or that the work involved in looking after a dog was more than they anticipated. We carefully vet each adopter, and ask them to adhere to our Adoption Commitment, but sometimes things just don't work out. Regardless of the reason, the health and happiness of the adopted dog is our primary concern, and we will not hesitate to recover animals we feel would be better placed elsewhere.
