Gailen when rescued

In July 2024, under our Adopt a Stray programme, we rescued little Gailen, who was very weak and mange-ridden. Gailen was named by his adopter, and the name means "healer, peace, quiet, shy, calm". Clearly the reporter has a deep love for this little pup, and can't wait to provide a loving home.

He has undergone an amazing transformation, and the happy news doesn't stop there! Ori, another Adopt-A-Stray dog with a terrible skin infection around his face and neck has accompanied his buddy Gailen to his new home!

Ori

Ori was adopted a few weeks before Gailen but just after he was adopted, the fence and gate were destroyed in high winds. Jessica asked someone to look after him while it was being fixed, and the family looking after him fell in love with him and asked if they could adopt him. They have a huge fenced and gated property, and Ori loves living there.

They asked if they could adopt another dog for a companion for Ori, so we suggested Gailen, who was friends with Ori at the shelter.
Gailen has loads of energy, so the house and garden are perfect for him.
