Dog Update

Suki Update March 2021

Suki has been healthy this month but she did get a strange wound - quite deep in her leg, that looked like she had been fighting. It was strange because she NEVER fights. She is the sweetest, most gentle girl and never picks on other dogs or gets picked on or bullied so we are really not sure where it came from.

She is still hanging out with her mother and buddies in the 'unsociables' kennel.  There are distinct packs at the Sanctuary, with only a few dominant dogs like Delfin and TinTin allowed to move anywhere they like.  The gang Suki is in never comes across to the other side of the Sanctuary.

Petal Update March 2021

Petal actually seems to have calmed down a bit and doesn't bully the dogs like she used to. Last month her target was Jewel and poor Jewel ended up hiding in one of the kubos or under the big kennel to get away from her.  But this month, she is leaving Jewel alone. Maybe she has little dog syndrome!.

She has had no problems healthwise but her fur could be better than it is. She keeps getting fungus infections that need regular bathing but she is so difficult to catch!

Maya Update March 2021

Maya used to hardly move from the kitchen area but over the last month she has become much more active. Here's a short clip of her playing today. She plays so much more now. We started her on 'immunol' which is an immune system booster and that seems to have helped her a lot.


She is getting quite fat now though so it is good that she is more active.  She has had no other issues at all this month.

Patch Update March 2021

Patch is doing well - he has had no illnesses or sickness this month at all.


He has been active and playful as usual but is now very difficult to bathe. As soon as he sees us starting to bathe other dogs he runs and hides we still haven't been able to leash train him yet!


He has got a new friend this last week - Poppy - they have been hanging out a lot together.


Here he is looking worried that the next bath is his!
