We're so happy that Marvin was adopted today!  He was collected by Jennielynn and family, who had previously adopted Gabby, now called Xaduu.  You can find out more about Marvin on his profile page here.

It's clear that the love and care lavished on little Marvin during his time being fostered by Emma and Sam worked its magic, and we wish little Marvin all the best with his new family.

We have some wonderful news – another Foster Fail! A 3 time Foster Fail to be exact!

Mark, who fostered Weka and Possum, and later adopted them, also fostered Delboy and today has decided to adopt Delboy too! We know these dogs are living their best life and will be loved and cared for the rest of their life!

We're delighted to announce Gretel was adopted by Rosemarie and Romeo Cuerpo on Saturday 7 August 2021, and we couldn't be happier.  Thanks so much for providing her with a loving home!

Gretel is one of two tiny puppies found huddled together in the middle of the main road In Dauin in April 2021.  They were around 4 weeks old when found and both were full of worms and mange mites.

Hansel and Gretel

Hansel was adopted later that month (see his story here), but the Distemper Outbreak earlier this year meant we had to suspend adoptions for a couple of months.  I  that time, Gretel developed into a very loving, excitable little girl, and was enjoying her first few explorations outside the Sanctuary on a leash.

Stan gets bitten

We have a worrying situation with Stan.  We noticed that his leg was swollen and on further inspection we saw 2 puncture wounds that looked like fang bites.  We thought it might be a non venomous snake or a large centipede.
If it was a venomous snake he would be dead by now, but non venomous snakes can cause bacterial infections.

Without knowing exactly what bit him it's hard to know what treatment to give.
We took his blood to Animal Wellness and it was pretty much normal so he is on antibiotics, anti inflammatory meds and confined in a cage.
He is still very active and eating well so we are not too worried right now
